Aneta Willems is Head of Department D at CINEA, dealing with LIFE and EMFAF financing programmes. Projects managed by her department help implementing policies in the areas of natural resources, climate change mitigation and adaptation, clean energy transition and sustainable blue economy. She has over 14 years of experience in the European Institutions and became Head of Department D in 2022. Before joining CINEA, for over 7 years she was Head of Industrial Emissions and Safety Unit in DG Environment. She also has a strong background in finance and controls.
