About

Nikos is the Vice Governor of Chania Regional Unit, a position he holds since 2019. Additionally to his duties in Chania Regional Unit, he is also in charge of issues related to Energy Planning of Crete, Renewable Energy Sources, Natural Gas and Hydrocarbons. He is also the supervisor of the Regional Plan for Climate Change Adaptation. 

Nikos has been actively involved in the Regional Government since 2011. For 8 years he was the Vice Regional Governor of Crete for the Environment and Spatial Planning, Member of the Executive Committee of the Region of Crete, and the Chairman of the Committee for the Environment & Spatial Planning in the Region of Crete. In the past he has been the Chairman of the Technical Chamber of Greece / Department of Western Crete, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cultural Centre of Chania, Vice-chairman of the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos,” as Member of the Board of Directors of the General Assembly of the Development Organization of Crete, and as Member of the Board of Directors of the Orthodox Academy of Crete. 

He holds a Diploma in Rural and Surveying Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From 1983 he owns a Technical Office in Chania, dealing with studies for Public and Private Works.
