The Veneto ADAPT project has involved local authorities, research bodies and private operators with the shared objective of developing operational tools for the adaptation of cities to climate change, in the territorial context of the central Veneto region and with a specific focus on hydraulic risks and heat waves. 32 SECAPs have been elaborated as medium term strategies and 8 pilot projects have been implemented to demonstrate the effectiveness of adaptation measures. Regional guidelines, policy recommendations and communication tools have been produced in order to stimulate the replication of the results achieved in other territories.
