Since 1 April 2021 Christian Strasser holds the post of Head of Unit of the LIFE Energy and Climate unit in CINEA, the Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Execturive Agency, based in Brussels. The unit is in charge to implement two sub-programmes of the LIFE programme, namely Climate Change Mitigation and Adaption, and Clean Energy Transition.

Prior to his current appointment, he has been Head of Unit of the Finance unit of EASME, supporting the implementation of different EU programmes such as Horizon 2020, COSME, LIFE and EMFF.

Before joining the European Commission in 1998, he worked as auditor in the Austrian tax authorities.

Christian Strasser is a graduate of the Linz International Business School.
